Who we are

This notice explains how LiteHard (“we”), the operator of www.litehard.com, processes personal data of visitors and of people who contact us. You can reach us at any time through the contact form.

What data we process

When you send a part request or a message, we process the data you enter: name, company, email, phone, country, the details of the part and the machine, your message and any files you send us.

For technical security our servers process the IP address and basic request data of every visit for a short time, for example to protect the forms against abuse.

Why we process it

We use the data to answer your request, to search for the part, to prepare a quotation and, if you accept it, to arrange the order and delivery. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Sharing with suppliers

To find a part we share technical details such as part numbers, nameplate data, photos and quantities with manufacturers, distributors and stock holders. We share your name or company with a supplier only when it is needed to place an order or ship the part, and only after your approval of the quote. Some suppliers are located outside the European Economic Area; where we transfer personal data there, we rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR.

Human check and cookies

Our forms use a privacy friendly proof of work check (ALTCHA) that runs in your browser. It does not set cookies and does not track you. The website itself does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to handle them and for a reasonable period afterwards for follow up questions. Data related to orders and invoices is kept for the period required by accounting and tax law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Slovakia the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. To use your rights, write to us through the contact form.
